My Sexy Addiction - @MySexySaturday #MySexySaturday #Saturday7 #MSSAuthors #MSS81

Welcome to the 81st week of My Sexy Saturday, the blog hop sponsored by author Lynn Crain.

This week’s we’re doing something a little different. We hope to do this occasionally and that you’ll like it. Our theme is My Sexy Addiction. It’s an open theme in that we’re not going to say when or how or where. We are going to say – just one thing and that’s about the song – Addicted to Love. You remember it…don’t you? How about the line ‘You might as well face it you’re addicted to love’? And doesn’t that just say it all about us here at My Sexy Saturday?

We are addicted to love and all its many facets. Our sexiness can happen anywhere, anytime, day or night. People fall in love in many different ways. It could be on a date, at a school dance, on a hike, with the boy or girl next door, just anywhere two or sometimes more people or beings are drawn together because of that feeling called love.

We all know that love happens and we want to know all about those special moments where those entities realize there is an emotional bond between one another. It can happen on an average day, during the night, in the middle of a zombie invasion or maybe a place where it’s hard to tell the day from the night like in a submarine or deep in space. The one thing we do know it’s going to be hot…hot…HOT!

This week's snippet, @ seven paragraphs come.s from the first book in my paranormal series the self-titled, THE FELIG CHRONICLES. My duo, Nate and Tina, are trying to devise a way to fight the Felig while navigating the landscape of the "addicting deal" they've brokered between themselves.

“Tina, listen to yourself.” Nate laughed out loud and shook his head. “Where the hell is this place? What the hell kind of place would it be? A morgue freezer? The simple fact of existing—”

“Creates heat. I know.”

“Yep, sure does.” Nate looked off toward the suite's bedroom. His lips curved into that already familiar grin she had learned to read. “Heat. Like now.”

“Again? We just engaged for hours earlier this morning.” Tina bristled. “I don't know if I'll survive this deal.” She unzipped her hoodie and eased out of her Rykas.

Nate stood, took the garment and tossed it over the back of the couch. “Leave the rest on. I want to take it off.” He turned her in the bedroom‟s direction, hands settled on her hips. Walking close behind her, he whispered, “Besides, it's late. We've been talking all evening.” He nipped and licked her ear. “I can't help it if my business partner is incredibly desirable.”

“It's apparent you can't.” Tina reached a hand behind her and slid it into the waistband of his jeans. Finding his hot, growing flesh, she alternately gripped and fondled it. Keeping a firm hold, she pulled his groaning form along behind her.

“And neither can I.”

Author Tag Facebook Response

Thank you for the shout out, V! I was caught off guard about the whole "tagging" thing because I'm sure I'm the only person on Earth who didn't know what "tagging"was. But I found out! And my three picks are KS Augustin, RK Shiraishi, writing as Echo Ishii, and Heather Massey.

As an aside: Don't despair Veronica Scott! Nate and Tina, and the crew will be back this fall in GAMBIT, book 5 of The FELIG CHRONICLES. It's beyond beyond. Stay tuned.

The work of the three authors that I selected are a mix of Sci-fi and paranormal but their books' characters qualify for tagging in the Scifi Romance Group because I say so!

I really enjoyed Assassin's Way by KS Augustin. My Lord! The switchbacks and plot turns were wonderful. It's space opera centered on a galaxy's less than honorable diplomatic corps and a heroine, the very capable Alshandiel who thinks she's found a welcoming place there. Oh, honey. Please run. Fast. KS is the chief editor of the Scifi Romance Quarterly.

RK Shiraishi wears many hats (a few are: reviewer at Scifi Romance Quarterly, reviewer and interviewer at the blog, Smart Girls Love Scifi and Paranormal Romance) but my favorite is as the author Echo Ishii, who produced the novella, Mr Rumpel and Mr Grimm. This book is not sci-fi but it is defintely out of this world. Ishii created a pair of creature-characters with very human emotions, who deal with very human-like happenings in a believable fantasy setting. Plus, Daniel is such an imp, er, um, I mean, half-elf. Product Details

And last, but not least, is Heather Massey. A jill-of-all-trades. Captain of the blog The Galaxy Express. I must admit her Once Upon a Time in Space grabbed me. The premise is so original. I mean how can you resist a hero who is the direct descendant of Christopher Columbus, who gets drafted to colonize a new planet. C'mon. That's catnip. Product Details

So, there's my mixed bag. Ladies, the ball's in your respective courts!

Week 79 - A Sexy Valentine - @MySexySaturday #MySexySaturday #Saturday7 #MSSAuthors #MSS79

Welcome to the 79th week of My Sexy Saturday.

This week’s theme is A Sexy Valentine and is our nod to Valentine’s Day. It’s not every day that we land on the most important holiday for romance writers. But we did and decided to use it to our best advantage. Have you ever had a special Valentine’s Day or moment? One where your significant other did something spectacular for you. Or how about that husband who knew all you wanted was a good night’s sleep and made sure you got it. Then there are those moments where you get a special gift you don’t know is coming. Sometimes it’s flowers, or chocolates or even an engagement ring. Just something to show just how special you are to your one and only.

Follow the rest of the blog hoppers at http://www.mysexysaturday.blogspot.com

My contribution this 79th week comes from my 2014 SFR Galaxy Award winning 4th book, PARADOX, in my FELIG CHRONICLES paranormal romance series.

This snippet shows Nate's goofy, loyal, determined side as he celebrates his rescue of his lady love/fiancee, Tina, from the nefarious plans of the Felig. He shows his admiration in his own special way. Take it away, Nate and Tina!

Nate stooped to unlace his boots and discard them. He proceeded to unbuckle and unzip his pants. He let them drop and stepped out of them. He ceased singing and wearing only his cap, he clicked on the CD player on the dresser. He began bumping and grinding to the slow, steady, throbbing beat of You Can Leave Your Hat On.

“Tina, I made a promise that I’d dance, sing, do a striptease and wear this cap if it would bring you back. You are back. So I’m dancing, stripping—”

“And wearing that cap and that look.” She motioned to his hair style and facial hair.

“I promised also not to shave or cut my hair until I got you back.”

Tina put the pillow aside and rolled onto her stomach. “Oh, don’t be hurt. Honey, I just ragged on you for fun but you have to know how honored and loved I feel by this show and the fact that you came for me. I feel…special.”

“You are,” said Nate.

“And man, so are you.” Tina gave his well-exercised, disciplined frame a long, admiring once over. She actually felt her skin temperature rise. It must have been a side effect of being bonded to and living with him. “OH EM GEE! I just realized you’re wearing a thong! You never wear underwear.”

“And I know why.” Nate’s dance ended as he tried to adjust the skimpy garment. “This crap hurts.”

“I’m really humbled,” noted Tina. “I wish I had some dollar bills to tuck into your waistband.

“I only take fives. Ouch!” Refusing to be uncomfortable any longer, he undid snaps and pulled the fabric from his sensitive parts. “Ah! Freedom.”

Tina patted the mattress. “Come rest all that freedom next to me.”

Meredith Hunter lost his life at the Rolling Stones concert at Altamont

Meredith Curly Hunter, Jr. (October 24, 1951 – December 6, 1969) was an 18-year-old African-American man who was killed at the 1969 Altamont Free Concert. During the performance by The Rolling Stones, Hunter approached the stage, and was violently driven off by members of the Hells Angelsmotorcycle club who had been contracted to serve as ushers and security guards. He subsequently returned to the stage area, drew a revolver, and was stabbed to death by Hells Angel Alan Passaro.
The incident was caught on camera and became a central scene in the documentary Gimme Shelter. Passaro was charged with murder. After an eight-man, four-woman jury deliberated for 12 and a half hours, following 17 days of testimony, Passaro was acquitted on grounds of self defense. Read full entry at Wikipedia.

February 2: This day in Black History

1902: Opera singer Todd Duncan was born on this day. He origniated the role of Porgy in ‘Porgy & Bess’ and helped to desegregate American Opera. In 1945, he became the first Black to appear with the New York City Opera. He later became a concert singer, with more than 2,000 performances in 56 countries, and taught in the music department of Howard University for many years. He continued to give singing lessons in his home well into his 90s. He passed away in 1998 at age 95. (Photo: YouTube)
